Job summary

Gymshark is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to help build the technology that supports the company’s global growth. You’ll work with Golang, event-driven architecture and AWS serverless tech, designing scalable APIs and services for customer-facing and internal products.

In this role you’ll lead technical implementations, mentor engineers, and drive CI/CD, observability, and incident response. Hybrid role based in Solihull, with 3 days on-site weekly.

Qualifications

• Production code in a strict-typed language (Golang or similar).
• Experience with cloud serverless services (AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Run, or Azure Functions).
• Proven track record building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical implementations to deliver high-quality work on time.
• Design, build and maintain APIs, services and integrations using Golang.
• Implement event-driven solutions to support critical business processes.
• Create, maintain and develop CI/CD pipelines.
• Build scalable software leveraging AWS Serverless technologies (Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, DynamoDB).
• Follow Agile development, write testable and maintainable code with strong observability.
• Mentor and coach other engineers; improve engineering standards.
