Job summary

Wise Platform in London is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to join the Partner Experience team. You will design, build, and operate backend microservices in Java/Spring Boot to support enterprise partners on the Partner Portal.

You will own API design, RBAC and SSO (SAML 2.0), and collaborate with Compliance, FinCrime, and KYC to bring complex workflows to life while delivering reliable, auditable software for large clients.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building, and deploying backend microservices in Java and Spring Boot.
• Familiarity with domain-driven design, event-driven architecture and microservices patterns.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs with OpenAPI/Swagger and OAuth2.
• Ability to model relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) with indexing and performance in mind.
• Strong documentation skills and clear communication with product, compliance and partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend microservices for partner-facing features and integration.
• Implement RBAC and SSO (e.g., SAML 2.0) for enterprise partners.
• Design and maintain APIs with good documentation and versioning.
• Collaborate with FinCrime, Compliance, and KYC to bring workflows to the portal.
• Provide production support and diagnose live partner issues.
