Job summary

Onetrace is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to own end-to-end feature delivery, focusing on APIs, data flows, and backend architecture while remaining hands-on with frontend tasks to deliver complete features.

You will mentor others, shape technical direction, and be responsible for production behavior and system performance. Strong experience in Node.js, SQL, MongoDB, and RESTful APIs is required.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Node.js backend development.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL data handling (MongoDB).
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and API integrations.
• Solid testing strategy coverage (unit, integration, E2E).
• Knowledge of observability, monitoring and logging practices.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of features across the stack.
• Design complex data flows, APIs, and background processing for high-volume operations.
• Take operational responsibility from architecture to production behavior.
• Build performant, well-tested backend services and stay involved with frontend as needed.
• Use metrics and feedback to inform technical decisions and improvements.
• Partner with product and design to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Mentor other engineers to raise technical standards.
