You'll contribute from midlevel to senior levels, shaping the platform as the business grows, working with seasoned engineers and architects to deliver high-quality, scalable software that supports real-world decision
£65,000 to £85,000 | Predominantly Remote | UK
I'm working closely with a highly ambitious, well funded technology business developing sophisticated software to solve complex, real world challenges.
Operating at the intersection of advanced technology, data and intelligence, the company is building products that help organisations make better decisions in demanding, high stakes environments.
Having recently secured further investment and with strong commercial momentum, the business is entering an exciting phase of growth. Its engineering team has expanded significantly, and there's now an opportunity for a talented backend focused Software Engineer to play an important role in the continued development of its core software platform.
The team is open to engineers from midlevel through to senior, with the scope of the position and salary reflecting the experience and capability of the individual.
This isn't a business building technology in search of a problem. Its products are already being used by customers, with real world requirements helping shape the engineering roadmap.
You'll join a talented, collaborative engineering team developing a sophisticated software platform that processes and presents complex information to support better decision making.
The focus is on building and evolving the backend services, APIs and application functionality that underpin the product, while contributing more broadly across the stack where appropriate.
It's a hands on engineering role with genuine ownership, technical variety and the opportunity to influence how the platform develops as the business scales.
You'll work closely with experienced engineers and architects, contributing to design decisions, solving challenging technical problems and delivering functionality that makes a tangible difference to customers.
You don't need to be equally strong across the entire stack. Strong backend engineering skills in Python are the priority, alongside the curiosity and flexibility to contribute more broadly.
There are plenty of opportunities to write software. Far fewer offer the chance to work on technically interesting products with genuine real world applications, alongside an experienced engineering team, at a point where individual contributions can still make a meaningful impact.
Salary: £65,000 to £85,000, depending on experience.
You must already be based in the UK with the correct visa to apply. Unfortunately no sponsorship is available.
If you're a Python engineer who enjoys building quality software, solving interesting problems and wants to be part of something ambitious, I'd welcome a conversation.
