Job summary

La-Fosse-1 is seeking a Senior Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer in Preston for a hybrid role (up to 3 days in office). The contract is 6 months, ASAP start, paying £400-£450 per day Inside IR35.

You will lead Azure VDI delivery, including design, build, and automation across Azure infrastructure to support a large-scale integration programme. The role requires strong hands-on Azure VDI experience, expertise in Entra ID, PIM, and Identity Governance, plus a focus on Zero Trust and IaC.

We’re looking for a Senior Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer to join a large-scale technology integration programme following a major acquisition.

This is a senior, hands-on role where you’ll act as the AVD SME, working across Azure infrastructure, identity, security and modern end-user computing to deliver integration and migration outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, build, configure and support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
• Manage Host Pools, Application Groups, Workspaces, Session Hosts and Scaling Plans.
