Job summary

La Fosse is seeking a Senior Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer in Preston with hybrid working arrangements. You will act as the Azure Virtual Desktop SME, delivering large-scale integration and migration outcomes across Azure infrastructure, identity and end-user computing.

You will design, build and support AVD environments, manage host pools, app groups and scaling, and implement secure, identity-driven IaC practices across the stack, including FSLogix, Entra ID and Zscaler.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operating AVD environments.
• Expertise with host pools, app groups, workspaces and session hosts.
• Strong background in Azure infrastructure and security.
• Experience creating golden images and automated deployment.
• Knowledge of FSLogix profiles and app masking.
• Proficient in identity management and PIM governance.
• Familiar with Zero Trust and RBAC concepts.
• Automation via PowerShell and IaC tooling.
• Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines.

This is a senior, hands-on role where you’ll act as the AVD SME, working across Azure infrastructure, identity, security and modern end-user computing to deliver integration and migration outcomes.
