Job summary

Experis is partnering with a UK organisation to recruit a Senior Cyber Security Engineer. The role focuses on ownership of security posture across Azure, web estates, and identity services, with weekly in-office collaboration in Manchester.

You will manage WAFs (Cloudflare/Akamai), implement secure ingress controls, and embed secure-by-design principles across apps and infra. Strong Azure and IAM experience is essential, with a focus on threat protection and DevOps security.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Cyber Security Engineering or Security Architecture experience.
• Experience securing Azure environments including Defender for Cloud and Entra ID.
• Experience managing WAF technologies such as Cloudflare or Akamai.
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and identity/access management controls.

Responsibilities

• Own and enhance the security posture of Azure cloud, web estate, and identity platforms.
• Manage and optimise WAF technologies (Cloudflare, Akamai).
• Lead secure-by-design integration across apps, APIs, and infrastructure.
• Drive security in DevOps and CI/CD with shift-left practices.
• Coordinate with MDR/SOC providers to manage incidents.
