Job summary

Synextra seeks an experienced Azure engineer to troubleshoot complex production faults and deliver engineering work alongside developers. You will support customers and internal teams, building Azure environments with Terraform, refining deployment pipelines and improving monitoring and cost controls.

The role spans incident response, automation, and platform development, with hybrid working in Warrington and a permanent, full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Azure experience across IaaS and PaaS.
• Understanding of compute, networking, DNS, identity and storage interactions.
• Practical experience with App Service, Container Apps, Functions or API Management.
• Experience writing and maintaining Terraform, including modules and state management.
• Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Ability to write automation in PowerShell or Python.
• Clear communication with customers and colleagues, able to deliver independently.

Responsibilities

• Act as a senior technical escalation point for complex and high-impact Azure incidents across customer environments.
• Troubleshoot across infrastructure and application services; identify faults and restore service.
• Collaborate with engineers to investigate faults and communicate findings.
• Translate incidents into improvements in configuration, monitoring, automation and ops guidance.
• Mentor others and participate in on-call duties.
• Build and maintain Azure environments via Terraform and reusable modules.
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment pipelines.
