Job Description:

Our client, a dynamic and high-profile organisation, urgently requires an experienced AWS SysOps Administrator to join their team.

To be successful, you should have:

  • In-depth knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting
  • AWS certification (AWS Certified SysOps Administrator is highly beneficial)
  • DevOps engineering experience or certification
  • Security Clearance: SC Cleared as a minimum

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing AWS infrastructure: configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of resources like EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, etc.
  • Ensuring security and compliance standards are met and maintained
  • Optimizing performance and costs within AWS environments
  • Implementing monitoring and alerting systems for proactive issue detection
  • Developing backup and disaster recovery strategies
  • Collaborating with DevOps teams to automate tasks and develop infrastructure as code
