Our client, a dynamic and high profile organisation, urgently require an experienced AWS SysOps Administrator to join their team.

In order to be successful, you will have the following experience:

• In-depth knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting
• AWS certification (AWS Certified SysOps Administrator is highly beneficial)
• DevOps engineering experience or certification
• SC Cleared as a minimum

Within this role, you will be responsible for:

• Advanced AWS Infrastructure Management: Take the lead in the configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of AWS resources, including EC2 instances, RDS databases, S3 storage, VPC, and other critical components.
• Security and Compliance: Champion the implementation and monitoring of security best practices and compliance standards, safeguarding the integrity of cloud-based systems
• Identify opportunities for advanced performance enhancement and cost optimisation within AWS environments, driving the necessary changes to ensure efficiency
• Implement and maintain sophisticated monitoring tools and alerting systems to proactively detect and address issues within cloud infrastructure
• Formulate and oversee comprehensive backup and disaster recovery solutions to guarantee data continuity and business resilience
• Collaborate closely with the DevOps team to lead the automation of routine tasks, develop infrastructure as code, and streamline deployment processes
• Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of AWS-related incidents
