Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a senior cloud architect to design and optimize scalable AWS-based solutions. You will lead end-to-end cloud architecture design, aligning with the Well Architected Framework and enterprise standards, while driving DevOps practices and IaC automation in a hybrid work model.

You will collaborate with global teams, implement robust CI/CD pipelines, and guide secure, cost-effective deployments. Travel to client locations may be required as part of engagement.

Qualifications

• Twelve to sixteen years of overall technology experience, including designing and delivering complex cloud solutions as a senior architect or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on expertise with AWS DevOps capabilities including pipelines automation testing and release processes.
• Deep knowledge of AWS Well Architected Framework across security reliability performance and cost pillars with remediation experience.
• Advanced experience configuring and optimizing CodePipeline CodeDeploy CodeCommit and CodeBuild for integrated CI/CD ecosystems.
• Proven track record in hybrid work models coordinating with distributed teams across time zones.
• Demonstrates cloud security performance optimization and cost management aligning with regulatory requirements and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead end to end design of cloud architectures on AWS aligned to Well Architected Framework and enterprise standards.
• Drive implementation of AWS DevOps practices with deployment strategies automation patterns and reusable templates.
• Oversee infrastructure as code patterns, provisioning workflows, and automation to reduce manual configuration.
• Define CI/CD workflows using CodePipeline CodeDeploy and CodeBuild for multiple application portfolios.
• Enable blue/green or rolling deployment models to minimize downtime and support safe rollouts.
• Establish secure source control and collaboration using CodeCommit with branching and access controls.
• Coordinate build processes with CodeBuild, including specifications, artifacts, and automated quality gates.
• Collaborate with product engineering security and operations in a hybrid model to translate business requirements into cloud solutions.
• Provide architectural governance through Well Architected reviews and remediation plans.
• Support migration and modernization initiatives by assessing legacy systems and cloud landing zones.
• Lead workshops and alignment meetings with stakeholders across locations to foster trust.
• Champion monitoring, logging, backup, and incident response strategies for production workloads.
• Document architectural decisions and best practices for knowledge sharing.
