Job summary

QinetiQ Group plc in London is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, build and support secure AWS-based environments for mission-critical programs. You will work with technical leads, architects and customers to deliver resilient cloud infrastructure and automated deployments.

The role emphasizes Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, migrating workloads to AWS, and ensuring performance and security in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer with at least three years' AWS environments.
• Strong understanding of AWS services including networking, security and platform services.
• Experience developing and managing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Experience using scripting languages such as Python or Shell for automation activities.

Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing and supporting secure AWS cloud environments.
• Delivering infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Supporting the migration and hosting of applications and workloads within AWS platforms.
• Monitoring, maintaining and optimising cloud services to ensure performance, resilience and security.
• Working closely with customer stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver technical solutions.
• Contributing to technical documentation, testing activities and continuous service improvement.
