Profile 29 is seeking a Principal Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for public-sector focused platforms. The role emphasizes reliability, observability, and automation across AWS alongside DevSecOps practices.

The position supports a fully remote work arrangement with occasional travel to client sites in London as needed. Applicants must be eligible for SC and DV clearances with a minimum of 10 years UK residency and sole British nationality.

Qualifications

• Experience in SRE, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering roles.
• Strong knowledge of AWS; experience in Azure or GCP is a plus.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
• Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform, Helm, or CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar).
• Experience managing and tuning databases (PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with IdAM platforms like Keycloak.
• Strong scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash, or Go).
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools for observability.
• Understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, and security controls.

Responsabilités

• Design, build, and operate resilient cloud infrastructure (AWS essential).
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Implement IaC using Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes manifests.
• Build and manage event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar.
