Job summary

MARS Recruitment is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer in Abingdon, UK. The role focuses on designing and building production AWS workloads while establishing an Azure base and planning for future GCP integration. You will lead architecture decisions, drive IaC adoption and collaborate across private and public sector clients.

The role is 1 day onsite per week with a competitive salary of £75,000pa plus bonus and benefits, reflecting the high impact and seniority of the position.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building and operating AWS workloads, including landing zones and multi-account structures.
• Ability to design, build and support Azure workloads while AWS platform is established.
• Proficient in IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation/CDK) as the default deployment method.

Responsibilities

• Lead design decisions for AWS landing zone and multi‑account structure.
• Solutionize complex requirements and set technical benchmarks for the cloud function.
• Represent the cloud function in project and client conversations and ensure secure, scalable deployments.
