Job summary

SR2 | Socially Responsible Recruitment | Certified B Corporation is seeking a SC Cleared AWS Cloud Architect for a remote-first contract role with occasional London onsite. You will lead AWS architecture, security, and DevSecOps initiatives across a major public-sector programme.

You will collaborate with engineering, infrastructure and security teams, delivering architecture artefacts and ensuring secure, resilient designs while embedding security into CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience designing secure, resilient enterprise cloud platforms.
• Strong AWS cloud and security architecture experience.
• Knowledge of identity and access management, including Microsoft Entra ID.

Responsibilities

• Provide architecture leadership across the AWS platform.
• Translate business needs into technical and security requirements.
• Produce high-level designs and supporting documentation.
• Review solution designs, supplier proposals and technical notes.
• Lead the resolution of architecture and platform-level issues.
• Design secure integration between Entra ID and AWS.
• Develop conditional-access and privileged-access policies.
• Embed automated security controls into Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Design security monitoring using AWS and Microsoft Defender services.
• Share knowledge and provide technical guidance to engineering teams.
