Job summary

Cognizant Consulting is seeking an AWS Technical Architect to own the end-to-end AWS solution for the NCDS platform and guide technical direction. The role requires deep AWS expertise, governance, and leadership to ensure secure, scalable cloud solutions.

You will mentor architects, define target-state architecture, and collaborate with delivery teams and client stakeholders. Hybrid work in London with flexible, project-driven arrangements is offered.

Qualifications

• At least eight years of experience in solution or technical architecture roles with AWS platform focus.
• Deep expertise across core AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Glue, Kinesis, Lambda, RDS).
• Proven ability to define infrastructure-as-code standards at programme scale (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Experience integrating AWS architectures with modern data platforms like Databricks Lakehouse or Delta Lake.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end AWS solution architecture for the NCDS platform and set target-state architecture.
• Define platform-scale infrastructure and adoption standards across services with IaC.
• Architect ingestion, processing and integration pipelines connecting NCDS with AWS and data platforms.
• Embed governance, security, data protection and architecture assurance controls; chair design reviews.
• Mentor architects and engineers and communicate strategy to technical and non-technical audiences.
