Job summary

Nasstar seeks a Senior Cloud Engineering Consultant (AWS) to design, build, and operate scalable cloud solutions for UK/EMEA clients. This client-facing role focuses on secure architectures, CI/CD, data platforms, and governance in a remote-first setting with occasional London meetings.

You will lead implementation using Terraform or CloudFormation, mentor junior engineers, and support pre-sales with technical insights. Strong AWS expertise and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in DevOps/Cloud consultancy delivering end-to-end solutions.
• Hands-on AWS services: EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, Glue, EKS/ECS.
• IaC experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Scripting with Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Strong CI/CD knowledge (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or CodePipeline).
• Containerisation with Docker and orchestration (Kubernetes/ECS).
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable in agile, client-facing environments.

Responsibilities

• Consult with client stakeholders to define objectives and design best-practice AWS/Azure solutions.
• Lead hands-on build and deployment of cloud infrastructure via IaC.
• Architect data platform foundations: data lakes, warehouses, and ML environments.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing.
• Provide managed services, security, governance, and operational support.
• Contribute to pre-sales with technical proposals and demos.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge within the team.
• Maintain ongoing relationship with clients to ensure reliability and performance.
