Job summary

Malloy Aeronautics is seeking an Engineering Manager to provide specialist leadership for avionics and robotics engineering, ensuring safe, compliant and high-quality delivery on complex aviation programs. You will guide system architectures, establish standards, manage partnerships, and develop team capabilities while balancing long-term capability growth with near-term execution.

This role requires UK residency and the ability to obtain security clearance, with in-house design and testing in

• Lead or management roles in engineering
• Specialist in avionics, embedded systems or robotics
• Lifecycle management and systems engineering
• Experience with safety-critical development standards
• Clear written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist engineering expertise and lead avionics/robotics engineers.
• Identify and manage partnerships and sub-contracts.
• Set technical standards and best practices.
• Guide system architectures and design trade-offs.
• Ensure aerospace safety and regulatory compliance throughout lifecycle.
• Lead project delivery including planning and risk management.
• Align engineering priorities with business objectives.
• Organise design reviews and ensure proper application of policies.
