Job summary

SSE plc is seeking a technical lead for the AVEVA PI platform to oversee real-time data collection, storage and delivery across the organisation. You will own the PI ecosystem, including Data Archive, AF, Vision, and interfaces, ensuring security, high availability and fit-for-purpose operation.

The role involves collaboration with infrastructure, cyber security and ops teams, influencing platform strategy and driving continuous improvements in data capabilities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience administering AVEVA PI technologies in a production environment.
• Experience configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting PI Interfaces, Connectors, SDKs and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical specialist for the AVEVA PI platform and components.
• Administer, maintain and support the platform ensuring high availability and security.
• Configure and troubleshoot interfaces and integrations collecting data from systems.
• Lead platform upgrades, patches, DR testing and lifecycle management.
• Provide guidance to users, project teams and suppliers, driving best practices.
