Job summary

London Museum in London is seeking skilled AV professionals to support a wide range of events at our two sites. You will manage AV hardware and software, work with our Production Partner, and line manage a team of AV technicians to deliver memorable experiences for visitors.

This role requires experience in public AV environments such as conferences, theatres, and cinemas, and availability for a 5-day rota including weekends and evenings.

• Experience in managing AV hardware and software for public events.

• Experience delivering AV support in public environments (conferences, theatres, cinemas).
• Capable of working with Production Partners and leading a small team.

Job description

From before the Romans to present day ravers, we tell the story of London and Londoners. There has never been a better day to join our team, leading at team of AV technicians as we bring these stories to the public in the galleries of our new London Museum in Smithfield and of the London Museum in Docklands

This role would suit someone who has experience in managing audio visual hardware and software and is keen to deliver an unforgettable and exceptional experience to the millions of visitors the London Museum will welcome.

We’re looking for skilled, experienced, and motivated AV professionals that can support the delivery of a wide range of commercial and internal events at our two sites. The successful candidate will be working on a weekly 5-day rota that will regularly include weekends and often evenings.

Previous experience of working in a museum is not required and you do not need to have any academic qualifications, although they would definitely be valued elements of your CV, but we are looking for someone who has experience of working in public AV environments like conferences, theatres, cinemas, and similar.

This role will require someone capable of understanding and meeting the needs of corporate clients by work closely with our Production Partner, manage and develop the museum AV equipment for events, as well as line managing a team of AV technicians.
