Job summary

Ampstek is seeking a Senior Automation Tester in Greater London to own automated test design, development, and execution. You will ensure software quality across web applications by building robust automation suites and collaborating with developers and QA teams.

The ideal candidate brings 6+ years in QA automation, strong API and database testing experience, and hands-on skills with Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress. Join a dynamic team and help drive CI/CD integration and Agile practices.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in software testing and QA automation.
• Experience with Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• API testing experience using Postman or similar.
• Strong SQL and database testing knowledge.
• Git and version control experience.
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum.
• Experience with regression and end-to-end testing.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Create test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Identify, document, and track defects.
• Perform API and database testing.
• Analyse test results and work with developers to resolve issues.
• Maintain and enhance automation frameworks.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and release activities.
• Coordinate with developers, Business Analysts, and QA teams.
