About Us:

We are the Information Intelligence Group (IIG) of CACI UK, a specialist software consultancy providing bespoke solutions to solve complex operational problems for our clients. As our business grows, we are seeking experienced Senior Automation Test Engineers to join our live projects within the Central Government team.

Work is hybrid, with options to work from offices in Bristol, Plymouth, Cheltenham, Manchester, York, and London, with regular visits to clients required.

Our Mission:

To support government departments in making critical decisions that enhance the security and prosperity of the UK. Our work is vital to national security, and we are committed to delivering impactful solutions with a team of over 450 professionals dedicated to making a difference.

This role involves developing mission-critical systems and contributing to national security efforts.

The Role:

As a Senior Automation Test Engineer, you will be part of a small, agile delivery team working on a Central Government project. Your focus will be on implementing continuous automated testing within a CI/CD lifecycle.

The responsibilities include:

  • Utilizing a range of open source tools and frameworks.
  • Manual and automation testing.
  • Working with DevOps and agile practices, including TDD, BDD, ATDD, and continuous testing.
  • Designing and implementing automated test frameworks for UI and API testing.
  • Using technologies like Selenium, Cypress.io, Webdriver.io, Playwright, Cucumber, Robot Framework, Serenity BDD, and Rest Assured.
  • Contributing to the QA team, proposing improvements, and enhancing testing processes.
  • Performing non-functional testing such as security, performance, accessibility, and operational acceptance testing.

The Fit:

Our ideal candidate enjoys working on diverse, challenging projects with a proactive attitude. They keep up with emerging technologies and prioritize continuous improvement.

  • Experienced in manual and automation testing with complex solutions.
  • Comfortable working autonomously within an Agile team and promoting best practices.

We value talent that can adapt to client challenges, learn quickly, and collaborate effectively.

Security Clearance: Due to the sensitive nature of the work, candidates must be able to obtain high-level security clearance, requiring UK citizenship and a permanent residence in the UK for the last 5 years.

We offer a supportive, inclusive environment with benefits including wellbeing support, flexible working, career development, social events, and onsite allowances.

Offices are located across the UK, with options for remote work and occasional client visits. Company-wide meetings and social events are held regularly.

CACI is an equal opportunities employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We support candidates with disabilities through reasonable adjustments during recruitment and encourage applications from all backgrounds.
