Job summary

TESTQ Technologies LTD. in Belfast seeks a Senior Automation Engineer for an onsite contract role.

You will design and implement automation solutions using Ansible, Python, and related tooling to streamline infrastructure and application operations. You will build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, manage Linux/Unix systems, and collaborate across DevOps, cloud, and application teams to ensure scalable, secure, and enterprise-grade automation.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with Ansible Automation Platform.
Proficiency with Playbooks, Roles and Inventory Management.
Strong scripting in Python for automation tasks.
Experience with CI/CD tooling and pipeline automation.
Linux/Unix system administration skills.

Responsibilities

Design and develop automation solutions using Ansible Platform Playbooks, Roles and Inventory.
Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python and Shell.
Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for build, release and deployment.
Administer Linux/Unix systems including patching and performance tuning.
Write automation configurations using YAML.
Integrate tools via REST APIs for end-to-end automation workflows.
Automate provisioning, configuration and deployment across environments.
Collaborate with DevOps, cloud and application teams to improve efficiency.
Ensure systems are scalable, secure and aligned with standards.
Monitor and continuously improve automation frameworks.
