Job summary

Johnson & Phillips is seeking an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) Engineer for an on-site role in the Chester area. The successful candidate will support the safe operation, maintenance and testing of HV electrical systems, with responsibility for switching and safe systems of work.

Key responsibilities include HV switching, isolation and earthing; preparing and managing switching schedules; issuing and cancelling HV safety documents; coordinating Permits to Work and site activities;

Qualifications

• Proven experience as SAP on HV systems.
• Strong experience with 11kV systems; 33kV experience advantageous.
• Experience with HV switchgear, transformers and protection systems.
• Recognised HV authorisation / competency certification.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety and safe systems of work.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate site activities.
• Full UK driving licence.
