Mint Selection Ltd. is seeking an experienced Senior Authorised Person to manage safe access to HV equipment on renewable energy sites and substations. The role involves issuing permits, switching schedules and isolation procedures to align with safety rules.

Applicants must hold current SAP authorisation for HV systems and have solid experience in HV switching, isolation and energisation processes, ensuring compliance with network operator requirements.

Qualifications

• Current SAP authorisation for HV systems, with experience on renewable or substation projects.
• Experience in HV switching, isolation, earthing and permit to work procedures.
• Familiarity with network operator safety rules and energisation processes.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety rules and legislation.

Salary: Competitive day rate depending on experience

Contract length: 12 to 18 month contracts

Mint Selection is speaking with experienced Senior Authorised Persons ahead of upcoming contract requirements on renewable energy and HV infrastructure projects. The role controls safe access to HV equipment during construction, testing and energisation, and it requires current authorisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Control and authorise safe access to HV systems on renewable energy sites, including substations and grid connections


• Issue permits, switching schedules and isolation procedures in line with safety rules and grid codes


• Manage safety interfaces with network operators, contractors and project teams through energisation


• Ensure works on energised or isolated systems are carried out safely and to industry standards

Experience & Qualifications:

• Current SAP authorisation for HV systems, with experience on renewable or substation projects


• Experience in HV switching, isolation, earthing and permit to work procedures


• Familiarity with network operator safety rules and energisation processes


• Strong understanding of electrical safety rules and legislation


• Electrical engineering or apprenticeship background advantageous
