TC Group in Colchester is seeking an ambitious Audit Semi-Senior / Senior to join our expanding audit team. The role offers exposure to planning, fieldwork and completion across a diverse client portfolio, with opportunities to advance under supervision from Seniors, Managers and Partners.

You will gain experience across all audit stages, develop technical expertise and strengthen client relationships within a supportive, professional environment.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months' experience within an external audit environment.
• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Experience using audit and accounts production software.
• Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning, execution and completion of audit assignments.
• Perform audit fieldwork in accordance with firm methodology and auditing standards.
• Identify key audit risks and assist in developing appropriate audit responses.
• Test and evaluate internal controls, systems and financial information.
• Investigate audit findings, anomalies and irregularities, escalating issues where appropriate.
• Prepare accurate and well-documented audit working papers.
• Assist in drafting audit reports and completion documentation.
• Develop an understanding of clients' businesses, industries and operating environments.
