Autograph Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Audit Responsible Individual (RI) to lead and develop the audit department within an established accountancy practice in Plymouth. The role includes managing a substantial portfolio and driving growth for the firm.

The RI will lead the audit team, foster client relationships, and identify opportunities to win new business while upholding high technical and regulatory standards across audits. Travel within the UK is required.

Formación

• ACCA, ACA or CA qualified.
• Experience operating at Senior Manager level within an accountancy practice.
• Experience managing an audit portfolio and RI role.
• Proven experience managing and developing teams.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting and auditing standards with regulatory changes.
• Strong technical judgement, commercial awareness and business development skills.
• Confident communication and relationship-building skills to win new clients.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, manage and develop the audit team, supporting performance and growth.
• Manage a substantial audit portfolio and act as key client contact.
• Identify, pitch for and win new audit work.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and grow services.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to promote audit services and business objectives.
• Oversee departmental profitability and financial performance.
• Maintain high technical and regulatory standards across audits.
• Take responsibility for risk management on audit engagements.
• Develop and improve services, processes, and use of technology including AI.
• Provide leadership, coaching and support to team members.
