Job summary

Johnston Carmichael in Aberdeen is seeking an Audit Senior or Supervisor to manage daily audit work, guide assistants, and ensure deadlines and budgets are met. The role involves liaison with client staff and on-site work to deliver high-quality audits.

The successful candidate will lead audits, review tax computations with the tax team, and help produce draft financial statements to a sound standard. Qualified CA or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience managing day-to-day audit work.
• Able to train assistants and meet deadlines.
• Qualified CA (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Complete the Audit planning documentation.
• Schedule Audit work with the Audit Manager.
• Brief, train and debrief Audit Assistants with feedback.
• Liaise with client staff on-site and build relationships.
• Monitor budgeted vs actual time; flag overruns promptly.
• Prepare draft financial statements to a quality standard.
