Job summary

Johnston Carmichael Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers is seeking an Audit Assistant Manager in Aberdeen. You will deliver effective audit work, coach staff, and ensure deadlines and budgets are met while maintaining high client service standards.

You will lead a team, develop client relationships, and provide technical and planning guidance. The role supports hybrid working and features development programmes to grow leadership capabilities within the firm.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA (or equivalent) and above.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Relevant experience in audit or a similar role preferred.
• Experience using audit software systems.
• Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage the effective delegation, flow-through and completion of audit work for clients.
• Coach and train the audit team as needed and ensure deadlines and budgets are met.
• Be the principal contact for larger clients on day-to-day audit matters and build strong client relationships.
• Assist the Audit RI and Audit Senior Managers with planning work and local reporting.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues to ensure high-quality audit services.
