LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a mid-tier accountancy firm in Nottingham to recruit an Audit Senior. This role suits ACA/ACCA part-qualified or newly qualified accountants with audit experience seeking more responsibility, a varied client portfolio and clear progression paths.

The role involves leading audits from planning to completion, working closely with the Audit Manager, and serving as the primary client contact during fieldwork. Nottingham-based with travel to client sites.

• Strong communication and review skills for junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients during fieldwork
• Identifying key audit risks and ensuring appropriate audit work is planned
• Managing budgets and keeping the Manager updated on progress
• Leading fieldwork teams on larger and more complex audits
• Preparing financial statements and audit documentation
• Discussing audit findings and potential adjustments with clients
• Clearing review points and dealing with follow-up queries through to sign-off
• Reviewing the work of junior team members and providing constructive feedback
• Identifying weaknesses in client systems and controls and making recommendations
• Keeping up to date with relevant technical and accounting developments
