Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an Audit Senior in Loughton to manage day-to-day audit delivery for a varied client portfolio. You will lead planning, execution, and completion of audits, ensuring quality documentation and on-time delivery.

The role requires ACA/ACCA qualification (or near completion), 3+ years in practice, strong technical audit knowledge, and excellent organisational and communication skills. On-site role with competitive package and benefits.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification, or very close to qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years accountancy practice and auditing experience.
• Strong technical audit and financial reporting knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and professional scepticism.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Confident client communication and team supervision skills.
• Strong IT literacy, including experience of audit and accounts preparation software.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead audit assignments from planning to completion in accordance with UK auditing standards and firm methodology.
• Prepare high-quality audit working papers documenting work, evidence, and conclusions.
• Identify key audit risks and communicate them to Audit Manager and Partner.
• Manage on-site and remote audit processes, allocate work, monitor progress, and stay within budget.
• Supervise, coach and review junior team members with clear instructions and timely feedback.
• Liaise with clients, build relationships, obtain audit evidence and timely responses to queries.
• Deliver a complete, well-organised final audit file with minimal unresolved queries.
• Assist with the preparation and review of statutory financial statements in line with UK law.
