PRO-TAX RECRUITMENT LIMITED in Manchester is seeking an Audit & Accounts Senior to lead audit fieldwork and produce statutory accounts for varied clients. The role suits an ACA/ACCA finalist or qualified accountant looking to grow within a supportive team environment.

You will oversee audit planning, testing, and reviews, while developing junior staff. Strong knowledge of FRS102/FRS105 and ISAs, plus experience with Xero or QuickBooks, is highly valued.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA finalist or qualified and experience in an accountancy practice.
• Experience leading audit fieldwork and preparing statutory accounts.
• Strong knowledge of FRS102/FRS105 and ISAs; experience with audit software and cloud accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit fieldwork for a diverse client base.
• Perform audit testing in line with ISAs and prepare clear working papers.
• Assist with audit planning, risk assessments and assignment scoping.
• Monitor audit budgets and ensure timely delivery of assignments.
• Review work by trainees and junior staff; support accounts prep.
• Assist clients with bookkeeping queries and system improvements.
