Job summary

Pro-Recruitment Manchester is seeking an Audit Senior to join a growing accountancy practice. You will lead audit fieldwork, manage client relationships and develop junior staff while delivering high-quality audit and accounts services across diverse industries.

The ideal candidate is ACA/ACCA finalist or qualified, with experience in ISAs, FRS102/FRS105, and cloud accounting tools such as Xero or QuickBooks. A supportive team offers clear progression and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA finalist or qualified.
• Experience leading audit fieldwork.
• Experience preparing statutory accounts.
• Strong knowledge of ISAs and IS auditing standards.
• Experience using cloud accounting tools e.g. Xero or QuickBooks.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Leading audit fieldwork for a broad range of clients.
• Completing audit testing across key financial statement areas under ISAs.
• Preparing clear working papers for review by managers.
• Assisting with audit planning, risk assessments and scoping.
• Monitoring budgets and delivery efficiency.
• Identifying audit issues and communicating findings to management.
• Supporting completion including analytical reviews and review point clearance.
• Reviewing work by trainees and junior staff.
• Preparing year-end statutory accounts for various entity types.
• Producing high-quality working papers for review.
• Supporting accounts preparation completed by juniors.
• Assisting clients with bookkeeping queries and system improvements.
