Job summary

Sopher + Co in Borehamwood is seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Supervisor to lead audits for a diverse client portfolio and develop junior team members. You’ll collaborate with Managers, Directors and Partners to ensure timely, budget-aligned, high-quality assurance services.

ACCA/ACA qualification is essential; you’ll bring strong supervision, Excel and audit software skills, and a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified with professional experience in an accounting practice.
• Strong supervisory and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements from planning through completion.
• Prepare audit planning memoranda, programmes and budgets.
• Coordinate audit teams and timelines, ensure compliance with standards.
• Develop junior staff and provide coaching and feedback.
• Build internal and external client relationships and identify opportunities.
