Senior Audiologist - NHS East Suffolk and North Essex

We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior Audiologist to join our team in Colchester. The department offers a wide range of diagnostic and rehabilitation services for both adults and children in North East Essex.

The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality patient care, undertake clinical activities, and supervise staff such as assistant audiologists and students. There are opportunities for management training and professional development.

The team comprises Audiologists, Hearing Therapists, Assistant Audiologists, and administrative staff. The department is well-equipped and conveniently located near Colchester Train Station.

This is a fixed-term/secondment position until 1st January 2026. Internal candidates will be offered a secondment only.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform, interpret, and report on routine and complex auditory tests on adults and children.
2. Conduct hearing aid selection, fitting, and rehabilitation, including verification of fittings.
3. Develop and implement individualized aural rehabilitation programs based on assessments.
4. Perform diagnostic vestibular investigations across all ages.
5. Collaborate with other professionals on hearing assessments and rehabilitation for children.
6. Engage in inpatient work and outreach clinics.
7. Evaluate tinnitus patients.
8. Carry out aural rehabilitation for patients with additional disabilities.
