Job summary

ARAG Law in the UK seeks a Senior Associate to handle Contract Disputes, managing end-to-end caseload across litigation and ADR. You will assess prospects of success early, ensure claims align with client policy, and contribute to a culture of efficient case handling.

This hybrid role requires at least 2 days weekly in the Bristol office; full-time preferred but part-time (min 4 days) considered. Strong client care and dispute experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Practitioner with strong contract disputes experience.
• Exceptional communication skills at all levels, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver against deadlines, KPIs and SLAs.
• Proactive approach to managing own caseload to a high standard.
• Clear understanding of the SRA Code of Conduct.
• Ability to work collaboratively with strong client care skills.
• Negotiation skills with an analytical and proactive approach to problem solving.

Job description

These are exciting times at ARAG Law as we’ve been through a period of positive change and sustained growth across our friendly and high-performing Litigation and Dispute Management teams. As a result, we’re looking for someone to join us as a Senior Associate in our Contract Disputes team, who sit within the wider Volume Litigation department.

As an Senior Associate, you’ll gain valuable experience by managing your own caseload end-to-end in a commercial manner, either through the courts and litigation or the use of mediation and other ADR techniques. In addition, you’ll ensure the early assessment of the prospects of success of each claim, and that the claim is handled throughout in accordance with the requirements of our client’s legal expenses insurance policy.

You’ll also help to drive a culture of effective and efficient case handling, take personal ownership of customer problems until resolution, work to deliver SLA’s, KPI’s financial & performance targets, and share knowledge and best practice with your wider team.

This is a hybrid role – minimum 2 days per week in our Bristol office (5 minutes’ walk from Bristol Temple Meads station). The role is ideally full-time, but we can also consider part-time options (min. 4 days a week, or the equivalent hours).

About You

We are keen to hear from you if you are a highly motivated legal professional with previous experience dealing with Contract Disputes, and a genuine passion for going the extra mile to ensure excellent customer outcomes.
