My client, a leading regional legal practice, is looking to recruit a Senior Associate (ideally 5-10 years PQE) to join their growing Development team, focusing on Strategic Land Development. The firm generates significant opportunities from regional and national landowners/property developers. To enable growth, they require an experienced solicitor with a strong background in Strategic Land Development (Option and/or Promotion agreements) and an established reputation in this field, who will bring connections with agencies.

This is a great opportunity to develop a practice/business in Strategic Land Development across the UK.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage own caseload ensuring deadlines are met;
• Assist Partners on complex and high-value matters;
• Maintain good client relationships through effective management and service delivery;
• Scope and price new instructions appropriately, with sound financial management;
• Provide clients with accurate, up-to-date legal advice tailored to their circumstances, ensuring value for money;
• Contribute to the team’s business plan and deliver assigned activities;
• Develop relationships with peers across the firm;
• Support business development and marketing efforts, including attending conferences;
• Manage direct reports as the team grows.

Person Specification:

• Proven technical experience in Strategic Land Development;
• Experience with Court processes, procedures, and case management;
• Adaptable, enthusiastic, flexible, and able to work under pressure both independently and as part of a team;
• Collaborative with colleagues across the firm;
• Client-focused, delivering timely and cost-effective service;
• Effective communicator at all levels;
• Strong commercial acumen and ambition to grow with the firm.
