Job summary

JMC Legal Recruitment seeks an experienced Restructuring & Insolvency Senior Associate (7+ PQE) for a leading independent City practice in London. You will handle complex, high-value matters and have genuine opportunities for long-term progression within a supportive, collegiate team.

The role involves advising on restructurings, insolvency procedures and litigation, supervising junior lawyers, and developing client relationships while working closely with partners on strategic matters.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with 7+ years' PQE (England & Wales) in Restructuring & Insolvency.
• Excellent technical ability with strong communication and client relationship management skills.
• Experience supervising and delegating across a varied caseload.
• Commercially minded with judgement and a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach.
• Interest in business development and building long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Advise on restructurings and insolvency matters, including procedures and litigation.
• Manage a varied caseload and supervise junior lawyers.
• Draft court documents and strategic correspondence; negotiate settlements.
• Develop client relationships and contribute to business development.
• Collaborate with partners and other practice groups to deliver commercial solutions.
