Job summary

DWF is recruiting an experienced Senior Associate to join our Government and Public Sector practice. Based in one of our regional offices (including Newcastle), you will advise central, devolved and local authorities on public law and commercial issues, and draft complex contracts and funding documents.

You will develop long-term client relationships, support business development, mentor junior lawyers, and play a hands-on role in delivering high-quality advice across subsidy control and public

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with public law and commercial advisory experience.
• Experience advising government bodies on public procurement and subsidies.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills; ability to build client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Advise public sector bodies on public law and commercial issues.
• Draft and review complex contracts, including grants and procurement.
• Manage a varied caseload with deadlines while delivering high service.
