Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal Deutschland GmbH is seeking an experienced Senior Associate/Associate to join the PEPI Procurement team in London, supporting pre-deal diligence on buy and sell sides and driving savings delivery across industries.

You will oversee procurement workstreams, develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier negotiations, and mentor junior team members while engaging with senior stakeholders. Fluency in English is essential and prior consulting experience adds value.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience.
• Experience across categories: metals, packaging, chemicals, manufacturing services, logistics, IT.
• Strong data analysis skills and ability to generate insights.
• Proven supplier negotiation abilities and deal execution.
• Ability to produce fact-based sourcing strategies and savings plans.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and presentation skills.
• English fluency; additional European languages welcome.

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement elements of wider buy/sell side pre deal diligence: summarizing the procurement opportunity, benefit range and levers, providing the analytical pathway and evidence to support the findings.
• Manage the implementation of post deal savings delivery projects: building sourcing strategies, executing delivery and signing off savings.
• Be a key part of the PEPI procurement team: managing and delivering projects, participating in new business development, developing junior members of the team, engaging with the GCC to build a world class technical, analytical and research service to support the delivery team
