Job summary

Grace Church Bath in Bath is seeking an Associate Pastor to work closely with our Senior Pastor, helping to build a caring church family where people are known, cared for and growing as disciples. This is a senior role with substantial responsibility for ministry and genuine scope to exercise initiative to shape the church's future.

We offer a competitive salary and 36 days leave, plus a pension, funded development opportunities, and flexible working within a 42-hour week.

Qualifications

• Mature evangelical Christian with heart for people and strong pastoral judgment.
• Sound biblical understanding and ability to lead between teams.
• Experience in ministry and leadership roles and ability to translate ideas into action.

Responsibilities

• Provide substantial personal pastoral care and coordinate pastoral ministry across the church.
• Strengthen discipleship pathways and help people grow in their faith.
• Develop and line-manage staff, raise up lay leaders, strengthen existing ministries and encourage new initiatives.
