Job summary

A UK law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its infrastructure and projects team in Newcastle. The role involves managing legal advice on complex infrastructure contracts for public and private sector clients. Ideal candidates will have around 5 years PQE in commercial contracts, with experience in PFI/PPP projects being advantageous. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and have opportunities for business development, all within a flexible working environment.

Qualifications

• Experience advising on the operational management of PFI/PPP projects.
• Ability to operate independently and lead on matters.
• Experience with long-term, complex contractual frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Manage advice on structuring and delivering infrastructure projects.
• Support operational contract management for existing PFI/PPPs.
• Advise on expiry and hand-back of PFI contracts.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team on infrastructure projects.
• Build relationships with clients and develop your own practice.
• Contribute to business development and team growth.

Skills

5+ years' PQE in commercial contracts

Experience in public sector infrastructure projects

Ability to provide practical and commercial legal advice

Experience working collaboratively

Strong technical and inter-personal skills
