Job summary

Mills & Reeve is recruiting a Senior Associate to join the Projects and Infrastructure team. The role supports high-value national projects across social infrastructure, renewables and public sector work, with the opportunity to take early responsibility for matters and work across regional offices (Cambridge or Manchester preferred, not London).

You will bring at least 5 years PQE and a strong drafting ability, collaborating with partners across the national team while guiding clients through

Qualifications

• At least 5 years PQE in projects/infrastructure or similar
• Strong drafting skills and sound judgement
• Experience with public sector contracting or related frameworks advantageous

Responsibilities

• Lead and co-lead major infrastructure projects
• Draft and negotiate complex, high-value commercial contracts
• Advise on operational PFI matters, handback, expiry and successor models
• Support renewables and net zero projects, including heat networks and decentralised energy
• Help develop innovative contractual structures
• Mentor junior colleagues and deliver client training
• Contribute to tenders, pitches and business development
• Develop public procurement experience if desired
