Position: Senior Associate (4+PQE)

Join a leading London-based law firm with a first-class reputation for delivering outstanding advice to a diverse and prestigious client base. From global institutions and innovative start-ups to educational bodies, sports organisations, charities, and senior individuals, their clients rely on them to provide thoughtful, practical and decisive guidance across the full spectrum of employment law.
The employment practice is known for its breadth and depth. They act for employers across a wide range of sectors - including financial services, education, sport, media, retail, visitor attractions and the not-for-profit world - and for high-profile senior executives. The team also plays a prominent role advising on safeguarding and regulatory matters in the education and sports sectors.
The team are looking to recruit a bright, ambitious employment solicitor (circa 4+ PQE) with excellent technical ability and a collaborative approach. You will work on a stimulating mix of advisory, contentious and transactional employment matters - including high-value litigation, employee competition disputes, redundancy programmes, TUPE issues and executive exits.
This is a hands-on role, and you'll be encouraged to take ownership of your matters with appropriate support. You'll also be expected to contribute to business development, write thought leadership pieces, speak at events, and build strong relationships internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising employer clients on contracts, handbooks, day-to-day HR issues, and redundancy processes
  • Acting in employment tribunal and High Court litigation, including employee competition cases
  • Supporting the firm's corporate and commercial teams on employment aspects of transactions
  • Advising senior executives on contractual terms, exits, and post-termination restrictions
  • Participating in client training sessions, networking events, and blog content creation


Candidate Profile:

  • At least four years' post-qualification experience in a reputable employment practice.
  • Strong technical understanding of employment law with experience across advisory and contentious matters
  • Confident communicator with excellent drafting and interpersonal skills
  • Organised, proactive, and capable of managing a busy caseload with autonomy
  • Genuine enthusiasm for client service and collaborative working


Qualifications:

  • 2:1 degree or above (or equivalent)
  • Training at a respected City or mid-sized firm
