Job Description:

My client, a leading global advisory firm, is looking for a Senior Associate Director or Director to join their rapidly growing health team in Central London.

The successful candidate will work with high-profile organizations spanning emerging bio-tech to established pharmaceutical companies and public health organizations.

2025 promises to be an exciting year in healthcare. This opportunity is not to be missed!

The role:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, focusing on expanding the domestic health sector pipeline.
  • Lead healthcare, strategic communications, and issue-based campaigns for clients.
  • Manage and strengthen client relationships, oversee projects, direct project teams, allocate resources, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Provide exceptional client service through proactive account management, acting as the primary contact, and guiding both senior and junior staff.
  • Develop and execute integrated campaigns to communicate client messages and priorities to key audiences, including policymakers, civil servants, media, trade associations, consumers, and stakeholders.
  • Drive strategic planning and message development for new business pursuits and ongoing client work.
  • Stay informed on developments within client issue areas and identify opportunities for engagement and support.
The ideal candidate:
  • 9+ years of UK healthcare, public affairs, and strategic communications agency experience. In-house experience is also considered.
  • Strong expertise in navigating UK health policy issues.
  • Deep understanding of public and government affairs.
  • Self-directed, proactive, motivated, with a desire for new business generation.
  • Experience leading teams and managing work streams, serving as senior counsel on major projects.
  • Willingness to learn and grow across industries and communication mediums.
  • Success in strategic stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven in developing and leading new business initiatives and driving organic growth.
  • Strong enthusiasm and connections in the UK health space, with understanding of NICE processes and UK reimbursement landscape for pharma and med tech.
  • In-depth understanding of the ABPI code and advising clients on compliance.
  • Interest in UK politics with knowledge of Westminster & Whitehall, connection-building, and policy development.
