Job summary

Connect Legal Partners, a leading international law firm with UK offices, seeks a regulatory lawyer to join our financial services team in London. With 2–6 years' PQE, you will advise lenders and payment businesses on consumer credit and payments products, delivering practical guidance.

You will advise on the Consumer Credit Act and UK payment services rules, guide clients on FCA conduct, help implement regulatory changes, perform regulatory due diligence on deals and train client teams, and you

Qualifications

• 2–6 years PQE in financial services regulation.
• Strong judgement on risk and persuasive advice.
• Experience in scoping and pricing work.
• Mentoring of junior lawyers at senior associate level.

Responsibilities

• Advise on the Consumer Credit Act and UK payment services rules.
• Guide clients on FCA conduct requirements across the product lifecycle.
• Help clients put regulatory change in place.
• Carry out regulatory due diligence on corporate deals and train client teams.
• Use AI tools as part of how the team delivers work.
