Job summary

Clayton Legal is seeking an experienced Associate for a Serious Injury role within a high-value catastrophic injury team. You will manage a portfolio of complex claims arising from RTAs, handling matters from strategy to settlement with autonomy and senior support.

Ideal candidates will have significant PQE in Serious Injury, strong liability and quantum expertise, and a proven ability to mentor junior lawyers while delivering excellent client outcomes in a collaborative, quality-driven

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or CILEX with significant post-qualification experience (typically 8+ years PQE).
• Experience handling complex, high-value Serious Injury matters.
• Strong technical expertise in liability, quantum and litigation strategy.
• Ability to manage complex cases independently.
• Previous mentoring or supervisory experience.
• Excellent client care and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead case strategy from inception through to settlement.
• Manage liability, quantum, rehabilitation and litigation issues.
• Secure early interim payments and rehabilitation funding.
• Work with medical experts, counsel, case managers and specialists.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members.
• Deliver exceptional outcomes through a client-focused approach.
