Job summary

Square One Resources in London is recruiting a Senior Associate to join its Corporate Tax practice on a permanent, hybrid basis. You’ll advise on UK and international corporate tax matters across complex transactions and work closely with colleagues in corporate, finance, funds and real estate teams.

The role requires a solicitor with at least 5 years PQE in corporate tax, experience in a leading firm, and a track record in private equity or investment funds, cross-border deals and robust client

Responsibilities

• Supporting transactions involving real estate, infrastructure and alternative investment strategies.
• Preparing detailed tax structuring papers, technical advice and transaction-related documentation.
• Working collaboratively with corporate, funds and finance teams to deliver commercially focused solutions.
• Building strong client relationships and contributing to the development of the wider tax practice.

The opportunity

I’m working with a leading international law firm looking to appoint a Senior Associate to join its Corporate Tax practice in London.

This is an opportunity for an experienced corporate tax lawyer to work on complex, high-value transactions, advising a broad range of clients across private capital, investment structuring and cross-border deals.

The role offers exposure to sophisticated transactional work, working closely with colleagues across corporate, finance, funds and real estate practices.

Key responsibilities

• Advising on UK and international corporate tax matters across complex transactions.
• Structuring private capital investments, including private equity, private credit and investment fund structures.
• Advising on joint ventures, acquisitions, disposals and cross-border investments.
• Supporting transactions involving real estate, infrastructure and alternative investment strategies.
• Preparing detailed tax structuring papers, technical advice and transaction-related documentation.
• Working collaboratively with corporate, funds and finance teams to deliver commercially focused solutions.
• Building strong client relationships and contributing to the development of the wider tax practice.

What we're looking for

• A qualified solicitor with at least 5 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) in corporate tax.
• Experience gained within an established international or leading City law firm.
• Strong transactional tax and structuring experience, ideally involving private equity, private capital or investment funds.
• Exposure to cross-border transactions, joint ventures and complex investment structures.
• The ability to provide clear, commercially focused advice on technically challenging matters.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work directly with clients and senior stakeholders.
