We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated senior assistant technical officer to work with our team in technical services.

The successful person will be required to set up and prepare medicines made within Pharmacy Technical Services. This will involve working in a controlled environment and wearing protective garments and shoes. The post holder will be expected to understand and follow standard operating procedures and have good manual dexterity.

In addition, the post holder will be required to assist with the operation and maintenance of quality systems ensuring compliance with the terms of the MHRA Manufacturing "Specials" Licence in regard to all compounding and manufacturing processes.

The employee will be supported with external and internal training in pharmacy services and associated technical activities where required.

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to join our well established team in Pharmacy Technical Services.

The MHRA licenced 'Specials' pharmacy manufacturing unit is based at the Royal Stoke University Hospital and is a modern purpose built unit within the hospital. The service encompasses aseptic, chemotherapy and pre-pack (over labelling and repackaging products) supplying both the Trust and external organisations.
