Job summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is recruiting a Rotational Pharmacy Technician to gain experience across our two sites, Royal Stoke in Stoke-on-Trent and County Hospital in Stafford. You will contribute to dispensing, stock control and medicines optimisation while rotating through wards and supporting staff.

The role requires attention to detail, accuracy and flexibility as part of a team delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care across UHNM.

• Dispensing controlled drugs using electronic registers from automated storage cabinets
• Gaining experience in IT Systems including Ascribe, Omnicell cabinets and Prescription Tracking
• Maintaining good stock control of medicines
• Medicines optimisation on wards
• Supporting and training staff

Job description

  You must be a team player with the ability to work flexibly and react positively to change. Essential skills include an eye for detail, high level of accuracy and knowing the limitations of the role. You must be able to follow written procedures, work under supervision and complete tasks accurately to set deadlines.
